For the
second year in a row, ACT was selected for D.C.'s annual
Arts-On Foot Festival.
David Richardson, Maya Lynne Robinson,
Marlon Anthony Russ, Patricia Lee Yates, Leila Chynna Pree,
Wilma Lynn Horton and Monte J. Wolfe performed excerpts from my
play Chump Changes, in which a group of Anacostia,
inner-city teens "at-risk" grapple with challenges including
teen pregnancy, homophobia, unemployment, relationships, crime,
substance abuse, sex, poverty . . . and parents.
Saturday afternoon, September 18,
2004 from 3-4 p.m. at the Warehouse Theater,
Mainstage.
Despite the threatened aftermath of
Hurricane Ivan, a sizeable crowd turned out to support us and the
event was a great success.
