Winter 2002.  "Chump Changes" is selected as a Co-Winner of the 2002 Writers's Festival, sponsored by New Professional Theatre of New York City.  The playwright received an honorarium and a two week residency to develop the play with professional dramaturg, Mark Dundas Wood. 

On Monday, February 25, 2002, following a weekend of rehearsals with the New York cast at the Manhattan Theatre Club , HeartBeats was presented as a staged reading at the Duke Studios on 42nd Street in Times Square.
