ACT Script Featured
At Warehouse Theatre
During 2003 "Arts On Foot"
Festival

At 3 p.m. on
Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2003, the second public reading
of "Christmas Gifts" ,
a one-act play written and directed by Alan Sharpe,
was featured by Warehouse Theatre during the 2003 "Arts On
Foot" Festival in Downtown Washington, D.C.
Christmas Gifts chronicles
a pivotal Christmas Eve that
finds stressed-out Dolores "Dolly" Coleman
juggling: one toy-crazed ten year-old, one boy-crazy teen, a
sentimental ex-husband, and her independent female lover -- even as
she faces an ominous discovery that may change all of their lives
forever.
The one-act script is a
companion piece to Sharpe’s "Auld Lang Syne", which was featured in
the 2003 "Washington Theatre Festival" at Source
Theatre. The two plays are projected to be
paired for a full production, during a future holiday season.
